Important Considerations

While same-day ceramic crowns are an excellent solution for the vast majority of patients, they are not universally applicable. If you have severe bruxism (heavy teeth grinding or clenching), you may require a crown made from specialized lab-fabricated materials, such as monolithic zirconia or gold, to withstand extreme bite forces. Additionally, if the tooth’s damage extends well below the gumline, advanced restorative care or traditional impressions may be necessary to ensure a perfect seal. Dr. Thurman will always evaluate your specific bite to recommend the most durable, predictable solution.
